Homestead: A Town Without Steel +

Shortly after USX closed the Homestead works in the 1980s, I photographed the people and streets of this steel mill town for over a decade. This work was exhibited, and with anthropologist Judith Modell Schachter, the book A Town without Steel, Envisioning Homestead was published by the University of Pittsburgh Press in 1998.
